Most of us have grown up familiar only with synthetic dyes, but natural dyes behave quite differently — and beautifully so. They tend to be less colorfast and more pH sensitive (a splash of lemon juice, for instance, can shift a color), and unlike synthetic dyes, they are polychromatic by nature. This means that as they fade, they shift and evolve in color rather than simply washing out, a quality that has been treasured for thousands of years — long before synthetic dyes emerged less than 200 years ago. Please embrace these differences as part of what makes each piece special. All of my products are handmade and hand-dyed, so subtle variations in color are not imperfections but signatures of the process. All shirts are made entirely in the USA, from the cotton fields to the finished garment. As most items are made to order, please allow up 4–6 weeks for lead time — care and quality can’t be rushed.
